ADFM NATIONAL CAREGIVERS SEMINAR/WORKSHOP 2012
“Sharing The Caring Today,
Hope For The Future”
You are cordially invited to attend the
above seminar/workshop to be held at:
Venue : Genting
International Convention Centre Hall (GICCH),
First World Hotel, Genting
Date : 12 October 2012 - 13 October 2012
The objective of
this seminar/workshop is two pronged i.e., (1) to help people afflicted with the
disease and their caregivers, and (2) to create greater awareness among the general
public. We have lined up a team of
specialists in their field from as far as Hong Kong and Singapore. Many local specialists will also be speaking
at this gathering.
A lot of
emphasis will be placed on Caring for People with Dementia to help ease
the burden of caregivers. Topics will be focused are Managing Medical Conditions in
Dementia, Assisted Daily Living (ADL) Training for Person with Dementia, Fall Prevention for Dementia Person, Ain’t Misbehaving : Understanding
and Managing Difficult Behaviors, and Caring for someone with Dementia in the
Home Environment. These topics will definitely help Caregivers in heir journeys when caring for
someone with Dementia.
Extensive research has been done in the area of Person Centred Care in Dementia, which, as the topic suggests, focuses attention on the afflicted person as a whole rather than on addressing and handling specific problems that the person is undergoing. In this regard, we have invited a very experienced specialist from Singapore to to speak on this topic which he has extensive familiarity with.
